The Vertical Panel Podcast

What is The Vertical Panel Podcast? Created by my friend, Gary Fountain - AKA “Dash” - it’s where we discuss comics related things, like, MCU & DC movies (listen to our “Flash” discussion); MCU tv, comics, anime and sometimes how it all comes together to make our modern media. We might talk history of comics and American history. It’s freeform, it’s open, it’s two nerds talking shit about things they enjoy.

While we love doing The Vertical Panel, we noticed something troubling. Series’, and movies with POC leads were already rare but lately, they were being cut from production or failing to be renewed even when they’re doing good numbers.

While we can’t do much about big IP, we can use our platform to elevate other creators. Storytellling is a critical part of any society and stilling our voices is dangerous to our future. I check feeds nearly daily and keep my eye out for comics, animation, or books that I think our audience would like.

We also do this on YouTube, not just Spotify and Apply. Why? So you can see the art that’s being done out there. Keep watching, and don’t forget to shoot us an email and let us know what you’d like to see more of.

Wanna be on the show & bend my ear about your awesome project?
